So what's new on Mini's Geneva Motor Show stand? It was all about John Cooper Works at Mini with the firm showing off the most powerful version yet of its car in hatchback and Clubman forms. Impact was diluted by official pictures being released a couple of weeks ago but in hatchback form it's still a sharp looking sporty adaptation of the regular Cooper S.
BMW Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
Technology has made the driver’s life much easier in recent years, but there’s not much to make life easier when you get stuck at the back of a huge traffic jam. But BMW’s announcement that it will be offering Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI) in its cars will help. A lot.
A CAR CHILD seat manufacturer is urging parents to bin booster seats amid claims of ‘dangers’ involved in using them for older kids. Britax, which manufactures child seats for youngsters up to 135cm tall, or about 12 years old, claims that its own research suggests 49% of seating setups for 4-12-year-olds could be unsafe. Some form of child seat is legally required until a child reaches 135cm in height, to ensure that the seat belt crosses their chest at the correct and safe height, but Britax claims to have found many belts to have been fitted incorrectly.
